Rear axle removed
Erik's Mustang Restoration Site II

Who would do such a thing?

Can you believe this? someone at one time painted the entire axle and pumpkin Hot Pink. I was embarrassed for the car.
I spent an entire day stripping the axle down to bare metal. Before painting though, I figured..."Let's look at the brakes"

The rear end worked fine when I took the care apart, so I figured it best to leave the internals alone now. Oh yeah, for those wondering.....2.80 gears. If anyone knows a good place to get a replacement gear set, let me know.
